When Alex Geana took a photograph of Anna Wintour with Desiree Rodgers at a Donna Karan fashion show, Gawker and other online news sites published the image and launched his career as a photographer. Since then, his photography has been published in the book Daphne Guinness by Yale University Press, and exhibited by the Leslie Lohman Museum, The Museum at FIT, Chair and the Maiden Gallery, and the School of Visual Arts.
Alex is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and The Society of Publication Designers (SPD). He has donated fine art prints to silent auctions to help raise money for charities such as GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), Bottomless Closet, The Jewish Guild for the Blind, Live Out Loud, and All Saints Church.
Born in Romania and raised in California, Alex moved to New York to pursue a career in hospitality management. During this time, he learned how to motivate a team and discovered a love for food while honing an eagle eye for detail and observing the various strata's of New York society.
Now settled in downtown New York, Alex loves creating new work and planning new projects.
